John 3:16

16 ‘For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.

John 3:16 reminds us of the sacrifice that was freely given for us. That sacrifice was to save us from all the junk we create in our lives. So often, we get lost in this world and the things of this world. It makes us lose ourselves and who lose sight of who we are in Christ.

The majority of women I know in this place have relationship issues. We lose ourselves in the people-pleasing, the feelings and the emotions of others. Eventually, we create unrealistic expectations and rely on those relationships to give us our value—to show us our worth and make us feel whole. We lose our identity not only within, but more importantly, with God, our creator.

We need to focus on our identity in Christ. His love will fill every void we created or think we have in our life. Once we remain in his love, we will be able to love others the way God intends.

Embrace God’s love. Focus on it. Live it. Cherish it.

It’s unconditional!
