Psalm 40:1-2

1 I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. 2 He drew me up from the desolate pit, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.

It’s easy to get stuck in the mud and mire of circumstance. But I choose to trust the promises of the Lord.

Today I will be grateful for what God has done for me and the struggles I continue to overcome with our savior by my side. I am never alone; God is always with me and he hears by cries and rescues me.

Even when I’m blinded by the muddy mess I’ve created, he is there, looking past the mess and guiding me.
